1- Snøhetta (2014) Garden Festival in Québec



- Ecological Edge (ecotone): Ecological concept of the edge effect, where species diversity increases at habitat boundaries.
- Emphasizes biodiversity and transition between the boreal forest and open meadow.
2- Teardrop Park




- Urban Edge, between city and landscape.
- A smooth transition between the city and the park, repeating, patterned shapes.
- The steps have been used as edges, transforming them into a social and interactive space.
3- Hunter’s Point South Waterfront Park



- Edge between water and city.
- Structures built near water create recreational areas. Providing access to water and creating areas for walking, resting, and socializing has a positive public effect.
- It offers city and sea views.
4- Yanweizhou Park


- Rugged edge with sub – spaces
- Sub – spaces create an interactive place connected with the landscape.
5- Houtan Park



- Promenade, both waterside paths and edge spaces.
- Steps used as edges, creates social space for sitting, eating, etc…
- Sub – spaces – niches created in the edge’s form.
